Signet Ring Cell of the Non-Neoplastic Endometrium: A Case Report and Literature Review

Figure 1. Histopathologic findings of the curetted endometrial biopsy demonstrate diffuse sheet-like signet ring cells in the endometrial stroma. Neither cytologic atypia, nor pleomorphism is identified. Hematoxylin and eosin stain.

Figure 2. Immunohistochemical staining for cytokeratin shows complete negative reaction in the signet ring cells in the endometrial stroma. By contrast the endometrial gland shows strong positive reaction for cytokeratin.
